Tasigna is the brand name of nilotinib, a targeted cancer medication used to treat Philadelphia chromosome–positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML). It’s prescribed for newly diagnosed adults or for patients requiring treatment after imatinib resistance or intolerance .•Available strengths include 50 mg, 150 mg, and 200 mg capsules. Tasigna was approved in the US in 2007 and is now also available as a generic in several regions .🩺 Dosage & Administration Guidelines•The standard regimen is 200 mg twice daily (total daily dose of 400 mg), typically used when prior treatment with imatinib was unsuccessful or not tolerated  .•It must be taken on an empty stomach: at least 2 hours before eating and 1 hour after taking the dose. Only water is permitted during this window  .•Space doses about 10–14 hours apart, ideally 12 hours apart, for consistency .•Consume with a large glass of water (~500 ml) to aid absorption and reduce gastrointestinal side effects
